Job summary

Melwood seeks a landscaper/grounds maintenance worker in Germantown, MD to perform outdoor lawn and landscape tasks. The role is full-time, on-site at the Department of Energy location, with a core schedule from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

• At least one year of landscape maintenance experience.
• Must be able to stand/walk 70% and lift up to 100 pounds.
• Must provide own transportation to work site.

Responsibilities

• Trims and edges around walks, flower beds and walls.
• Prunes shrubs and trees to shape growth.
• Rakes leaves and cleans debris from walks.
• Shovels snow from walks and driveways.
• Spreads salt on public passageways.
• Plants grass, flowers, trees and shrubs.
• Watering lawns and shrubs as needed.
• Cleans drainage ditches and culverts.
• Operates power mowers, snow blowers, roto tillers, or similar tools.
• Performs other yard duties as assigned.
