Job summary

Goodwill San Antonio is seeking a Grounds Maintenance Associate to perform grass cutting, edging, trimming, and basic landscaping duties at Fort Sam, 4209 Jadwin, San Antonio, TX 78234. This full-time role supports our mission of sustaining outdoor spaces and serving visitors with a helpful, friendly attitude.

The position emphasizes physical work, tool operation, and safety, with a Monday–Friday schedule and competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

Must have a current, valid driver's license.
6+ months of landscaping experience.
Basic knowledge of grounds maintenance tools and ability to operate hand/power tools.
Able to meet the physical requirements; able to travel for company business if driving.

Responsibilities

Cut grass to specific requirements using a push mower.
Remove grass clippings, trash, and debris from the work site and dispose of trash.
Use grass/weed trimmer in areas not accessible to riding or push mowers.
Operate backpack blower to clear surfaced areas.
Trim hedges and shrubs and edge sidewalks, curbs, parking lots, and other surfaced areas.
Remove vines from fences and maintain fence lines cleared of new growth.
Clean tools, working areas, and vehicles; perform basic maintenance per manufacturer directions.
Follow all safety requirements; wear PPE and use equipment properly; exercise caution on slopes.
Provide excellent customer service by greeting, assisting, and responding to questions.
