Job summary

Goodwill San Antonio is seeking a Grounds Maintenance worker to perform grass cutting, edging, trimming, and limited landscaping while supporting the mission to change lives through the power of work. This role emphasizes safe operation of equipment and positive customer interactions.

You will remove debris, maintain hedges and fences, clean tools and work areas, and follow all safety requirements. A valid driver’s license and ability to travel as needed are required.

Qualifications

• Current valid driver's license required.
• 6+ months of experience performing similar grounds maintenance work preferred.
• Basic knowledge of grounds maintenance tools & equipment.
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position.

Responsibilities

• Cut grass to site specifications using a push mower.
• Remove grass clippings, trash, and debris from work site and dispose at collection point.
• Operate grass/weed trimmer in slopes, canals, ditches and rough terrain.
• Use a backpack blower to clear surfaced areas.
• Trim hedges and edges along sidewalks, curbs, parking lots and other areas.
• Follow safety requirements and maintain equipment in safe working condition.
