Job summary

Goodwill San Antonio is seeking a Grounds Maintenance Technician to perform lawn care, trimming, edging, and related outdoor tasks at Fort Sam - 4209 Jadwin, San Antonio, TX 78234. The role runs Monday to Friday from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM and reports to the facilities team.

Applicants should have at least 6 months of related experience and be able to operate common landscaping tools. The job emphasizes safety, reliability and customer service in an outdoor setting.

Qualifications

6+ months of experience performing similar grounds work.
Reading and comprehension skills; able to analyze situations and resolve conflicts.
Knowledge of grounds maintenance tools & equipment.
Must meet physical requirements and have a valid driver’s license if driving for company business.

Responsibilities

Cut grass to specified requirements using a push mower.
Remove grass clippings, trash and debris from work site and dispose.
Operate grass/weed trimmer in slopes, canals, ditches and rough terrain.
Use backpack blower to clear surfaces.
Trim hedges and shrubs and edge sidewalks, curbs and parking lots.
Clean tools and vehicles; perform basic equipment maintenance.
