Job summary

Goodwill San Antonio is seeking a Grounds Maintenance worker to perform grass cutting, trimming, and routine landscaping tasks to support our mission and keep our sites presentable. You will clear debris, operate handheld tools, and maintain equipment with a focus on safety and customer service.

Applicants should have a valid driver’s license, basic knowledge of grounds tools, and at least 6 months of related experience.

Qualifications

• Must have a current, valid driver's license.
• 6+ months of landscaping experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of grounds maintenance tools.
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position.

Responsibilities

• Cut grass to specified requirements using a push mower.
• Remove grass clippings, trash, and debris from the work site and dispose of trash.
• Use grass/weed trimmer in slopes, canals, ditches, rough terrain, ramps or drop-offs.
• Operate backpack blower to clear surfaced areas.
• Trim hedges and shrubs and edge sidewalks, curbs, parking lots, and other surfaces.
• Clean tools, working areas, and vehicles; perform basic maintenance.
• Follow safety requirements and wear protective equipment; operate equipment safely.
