Overview

The Grounds Maintenance Tech position involves a diverse range of activities related to maintaining and preparing the golf course daily. Responsibilities include grounds construction, maintenance work, and other related tasks as needed.

Key Functions

1. Become proficient in operating machinery and small equipment used in golf course maintenance.
2. Operate powered equipment to mow greens, approaches, fairways, tees, and roughs.
3. Operate edgers and string trimmers.
4. Manage areas with trees, shrubs, and flowers.
5. Set up tee markers and change cups.
6. Maintain ball washers, water hazards, and bunkers.
7. Operate light equipment for hauling materials and debris removal.
8. Trim trees, prune shrubs, and weed as needed.
9. Perform duties courteously and professionally to meet guest needs.
10. Provide excellent service when interacting with guests and team members.
11. Show initiative and seek additional tasks to serve guests better.
12. Perform other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent, with two years of golf course experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Must be motivated and capable of performing physical tasks with small equipment and tools.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand, walk, read, hear, talk, balance, climb, use hands and fingers, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, smell, push, or pull. Capable of lifting objects up to 50 pounds. Exposure to various environmental conditions and hazards. Reasonable accommodations available for individuals with disabilities.
