Examples of Duties

• Participates in the construction, maintenance, and repair of public service facilities, grounds, buildings, and right of ways.
• Performs basic turfgrass and landscape maintenance.
• Maintains, operates, repairs, and replaces power equipment as necessary.
• Performs litter and trash pickup.
• Removes snow and spreads deicing materials on streets and sidewalks covered with snow and ice.
• Uses hand tools for digging, grading, patching, and maintaining facilities and right of ways.
• Applies cold patch or hot mix asphalt by hand to potholes and impacts; spreads gravel, stone, concrete, or other construction materials.
• Assists with hosting large sporting or other special events.
• Performs general construction tasks.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
