Overview

The Grounds Maintenance Tech position involves a diverse range of activities related to the maintenance and daily preparation of the golf course. Responsibilities include grounds construction, maintenance work, and other related tasks.

Key Functions

1. Become proficient in operating machinery and small equipment for golf course maintenance.
2. Operate powered equipment to mow greens, approaches, fairways, tees, and rough.
3. Use equipment such as edgers and string trimmers.
4. Manage areas with trees, shrubs, and flowers.
5. Set up tee markers and change cups.
6. Maintain ball washers, water hazards, and bunkers.
7. Operate light equipment to haul materials and remove debris.
8. Trim trees, prune shrubs, and pull weeds as needed.
9. Perform duties courteously and professionally to meet guest needs.
10. Provide excellent service when interacting with guests and team members.
11. Show initiative and seek additional assignments to serve guests better.
12. Perform other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent, with two years of golf course experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Must be able to perform physical tasks, operate small equipment, and be highly motivated.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to stand, walk, read, hear, talk, balance, climb, use hands and fingers, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, smell, push, or pull. Capable of lifting objects up to 50 pounds.
