We are hiring a Grounds Maintenance / Facilities Technician.

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Grounds Maintenance / Facilities Technician to ensure the cleanliness, safety, and overall upkeep of the company’s grounds and exterior areas. This individual will be responsible for maintaining the appearance of the property, handling landscaping and light maintenance tasks, and ensuring the grounds are safe and inviting for visitors, guests, and employees.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Rubbish and Debris Removal: Clear rubbish, debris, and litter from company grounds, including entrances, sidewalks, and parking areas, ensuring the property is clean and presentable.
  2. Exterior Building Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the exterior of the building, including clearing debris from entrances and surrounding areas.
  3. Weed Removal: Regularly inspect the grounds for weeds and perform timely weed removal to maintain a neat appearance.
  4. Groundskeeping Supplies and Inventory: Manage and maintain an inventory of groundskeeping tools, supplies, and materials, ensuring stock levels are adequate for ongoing maintenance.
  5. Ensuring Safe, Clean, and Usable Grounds: Regularly inspect and maintain outdoor areas to ensure they are clean, safe, and usable for employees, guests, and visitors.
  6. Sidewalks and Pavements Maintenance: Remove dirt, debris, and stains from sidewalks, driveways, and other paved surfaces to ensure safety and curb appeal.
  7. Lawn and Garden Care: Maintain and care for lawns, trees, shrubs using lawn mower, weed removal, weed cutters, hedge cutters.
  8. Light Maintenance: Change light bulbs, paint, remove trash, and undertake any other projects assigned by leadership.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in ground maintenance, landscaping, or facilities maintenance.
  • Familiarity with the operation and maintenance of groundskeeping equipment.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Basic knowledge of horticulture and groundskeeping techniques.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment.
  • Ability to handle and apply chemicals safely.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and perform physical labor for extended periods.
  • Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Working Conditions:

  • Outdoor work environment with potential exposure to varying weather conditions.
  • Regular interaction with ground maintenance equipment and chemicals.

Candidate must successfully pass post-offer/pre-employment drug and background screening.
