Job summary

Gorman & Company in Dillon, CO is seeking a Grounds & Light Maintenance Technician to care for a 243-unit affordable community Wintergreen. You’ll maintain outdoor spaces, assist with make-readies, and perform basic repairs to keep the property safe and attractive for residents year-round.

The role requires a high school diploma, some maintenance/grounds experience, and a valid driver’s license. Compensation starts at $24–$25/hour with full benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous maintenance & groundskeeping experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, and general repairs.
• Ability to read and complete work orders and service requests accurately.
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet insurability requirements.
• Good communication skills, strong safety awareness, and a team-oriented mindset.
• Ability to perform physical work, including lifting up to 30+ pounds and working both indoors and outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the grounds to ensure the properties are attractive, safe, and well-kept, including mowing, trimming, watering, weeding, and seasonal upkeep.
• Complete light maintenance and corrective repairs in apartments and common areas, including basic plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, lock changes, and fixture replacements.
• Assist with apartment make-readies by cleaning, painting, and preparing units for new residents.
• Perform daily property walks to keep the property & grounds clean, safe, and looking sharp.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on buildings, equipment, and grounds.
• Support inventory control of tools, equipment, and supplies and assist outside vendors as needed.
• Interact professionally with residents, team members, and vendors while providing excellent customer service.
