Job summary

Gorman & Company is seeking a Grounds & Light Maintenance Technician in Little Rock, AR. You will maintain outdoor spaces, assist with light repairs, and prep units for new residents with a hands-on, team-oriented approach.

The role calls for reliable, safety-minded individuals with basic plumbing/electrical skills and the ability to read work orders. You’ll contribute to a clean, welcoming community year-round, serving residents and colleagues.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous maintenance and groundskeeping experience preferred.
• Ability to work Monday–Thursday 8:00 AM–6:00 PM and Friday 8:00 AM–12:00 PM.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall and painting.
• Ability to read and complete work orders accurately.
• Good communication, safety awareness, and teamwork.
• Able to perform physical work, lifting up to 30+ pounds, indoors and outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the grounds to ensure the properties are attractive, safe, and well-kept.
• Complete light maintenance and corrective repairs in apartments and common areas.
• Assist with apartment make-readies by cleaning, painting, and preparing units for new residents.
• Perform daily property walks to keep the property and grounds clean and safe.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on buildings, equipment, and grounds.
• Maintain indoor areas by sweeping, mopping, and other cleaning duties.
• Support inventory control of tools, equipment, and supplies and assist outside vendors as needed.
• Interact professionally with residents, team members, and vendors.
