Job summary

Gorman & Company in Little Rock, AR is seeking a Grounds & Light Maintenance Technician to keep the property clean, safe, and well‑kept. You will perform grounds upkeep, basic repairs, and assist with make-readies for new residents.

This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and prior maintenance or groundskeeping experience. Shifts are Monday–Thursday 8:00 AM–6:00 PM and Friday 8:00 AM–12:00 PM. Compensation starts at $17–$19 per hour with a full benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (required)
• Previous maintenance & groundskeeping experience preferred
• Ability to work Monday to Thursday 8:00 AM–6:00 PM and Friday 8:00 AM–12:00 PM
• Strong mechanical aptitude with basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, and general repairs
• Ability to read and complete work orders and service requests accurately
• Good communication, safety awareness, and team orientation
• Ability to perform physical work, including lifting up to 30+ pounds, indoors and outdoors

Responsibilities

• Maintain the grounds to keep properties attractive, safe, and well-kept
• Complete light maintenance and corrective repairs in apartments and common areas
• Assist with apartment make-readies by cleaning and painting
• Perform daily property walks to keep the grounds clean and safe
• Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on buildings, equipment, and grounds
• Maintain indoor areas by sweeping, mopping, and other cleaning duties
• Support inventory control of tools, equipment, and supplies and assist vendors
