Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, understand basic English.
• Must have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Able to pass government background.
• Applicant will work outside during their entire shift.
• Must be able to lift, push, pull and move a minimum of 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Prunes shrubs and trees using appropriate techniques according to the plant.
• Edges, mows, uses leaf blowers and other tools to remove trash and debris from grounds.
• Operates power equipment: edger, hedge trimmers, chain saws, tractor/loaders as needed.
• Use hand tools such as shovels, rakes, pruning saws, and axes; performs minor repairs to equipment.
• Other duties as assigned.

Description

General Summary

Grounds lead assures grounds are maintained according to schedule of industrial, commercial property such as buildings, and athletic fields, and repairs equipment. The position will supervise their crew and assist in repair of roads, walks, buildings, and mechanical equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Prunes shrubs and trees using appropriate techniques according to the plant.
• Edges, mows, uses leaf blowers and other tools or hands to remove trash and debris from grounds.
• Operates power equipment such as, but not limited to, edger, hedge trimmers, chain saws, and tractor/loaders, as necessary.
• Use hand tools such as shovels, rakes, pruning saws, saws, hedge and brush trimmers, and axes. Performs minor repairs to equipment.
• Other duties as assigned.

Salary: $26.15 per hour + $7.00 per hour fringe rate
