Job summary

The North Carolina Department of Administration Facility Management Division seeks a Grounds Supervisor I (S) to plan and manage grounds work, supervise staff as needed, and oversee landscape maintenance at 431 North Salisbury St., Raleigh, NC. You will plant, prune, and maintain shrubs, trees, and lawns, and assist in equipment repairs.

Minimum education includes a high school diploma or GED with three years of grounds upkeep experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and three years of grounds upkeep experience or equivalent.
• Knowledge of horticultural practices and landscape maintenance.
• Ability to operate and perform minor repairs on landscape equipment.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage grounds work and landscape projects.
• Plant shrubs, trees, flowers, and maintain lawns.
• Install landscape structures and schedule maintenance.
• Diagnose plant health issues and take remedial action.
• Assist in repair of landscape equipment and supervise staff as needed.
