Job summary

Edward Rose & Sons, LLC is seeking a Grounds Technician to support on-site operations and ensure a positive experience for residents. Responsibilities include maintaining the grounds, parking lots, and common areas, as well as irrigation monitoring and weed control.

Prior irrigation knowledge is a plus, and you must be able to lift 20 pounds and work outdoors in varying weather. The role requires reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to communicate effectively with

Qualifications

• Ability to shovel snow and spread salt during snow season.
• Ability to work outdoors in temperatures extreme as hot and cold.
• Capable of lifting at least 20 pounds and pushing or pulling up to 80 pounds.
• Irrigation experience is a plus.
• Maintain a professional appearance per dress code policy.
• Able to communicate effectively with residents and coworkers.
• Basic computer skills and willingness to learn software, apps, and programs.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• General upkeep and cleanliness of the apartment community.
• Upkeep of parking lots, grounds, corridors, stairwells, laundry rooms, and mechanical rooms.
• Collecting and removing trash as needed.
• Weeding beds using appropriate tools.
• Monitor irrigation system to ensure grass areas are watered.
• Repair or replace sprinkler heads and lines as required.
• Report unhealthy lawn, trees, shrubs, and plants to management.
• Edging around trees and landscape borders.
• Rake grounds and blow or sweep sidewalks and parking lots.
• Additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
