Job summary

Sun Communities, Inc. is hiring a Groundskeeper to maintain landscaping and grounds for the Ventura community. Responsibilities include mowing, weed control, irrigation checks, trash removal, and assisting with pool maintenance as applicable.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, outdoor endurance, and the ability to operate tools and equipment safely. A valid driver’s license and on-call flexibility are expected, with a focus on resident satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• General grounds maintenance knowledge is required.
• Must be able to operate tools and equipment safely.

Responsibilities

• Keep community lawns and grounds presentable and within curb appeal standards.
• Maintain vehicles and equipment used on site.
• Clear debris daily and empty trash in common areas.
• Inspect and repair irrigation systems as needed.
• Perform weed control, mulching, landscaping tasks, and hedge trimming.
• Maintain pools by testing chemical levels if applicable.
• Follow safety procedures and report maintenance issues to the manager.
• Operate community vehicles to transport equipment and debris.
