Job summary

Sun Communities is seeking a Groundskeeper to maintain community grounds, operate tools and equipment, and support a positive resident experience through courteous service.

You will perform lawn care, irrigation inspections, and routine maintenance while following safety procedures. Position requires outdoor work in varying temperatures and occasional after-hours on-call responsibilities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to endure outdoor conditions in varying temperatures.
• Ability to work after hours and on-call as needed.
• Basic computer and email/internet proficiency.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Ensure community presentable at all times per curb appeal standards.
• Maintain community vehicle and equipment.
• Pick up trash and empty containers daily.
• Inspect irrigation systems and perform repairs as needed.
• Perform lawn care: weed control, raking, planting, mulching, trimming shrubs, removing damaged tree limbs.
• Maintain pools by testing and adjusting chemical levels if applicable.
• Follow safety procedures during duties.
• Report maintenance issues to the manager.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
