Job summary

Denton Independent School District is seeking a Maintenance II to support the district’s grounds, exterior areas, athletic fields, and related facilities in Denton, Texas. The role involves operating maintenance equipment, completing tasks to keep campuses safe and well-maintained, and assisting other maintenance staff as needed.

Starting immediately, you will report to the Assistant Maintenance Director, hold a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid Texas driver’s license, and work

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid Texas driver’s license
• 1 year of maintenance/grounds experience
• 2 years of related experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Paint and maintain athletic fields and parking areas
• Mow, trim, and cleanup district facilities
• Operate vehicles and equipment safely and in accordance with procedures
• Assist with fencing, concrete, and exterior maintenance projects
• Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment
• Follow safety procedures and report unsafe conditions
