Job summary

FirstService Residential in Fort Lauderdale, FL seeks a Groundskeeper to maintain the appearance and cleanliness of the building and grounds. The role requires operating lawn equipment and following safety procedures to keep walkways and common areas in top condition.

The position is full-time with Sunday-Thursday hours 8:00am-4:30pm, plus potential training travel. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, time off and a 401k with company match.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency required.
• Experience using handheld tools such as weed cutter, push lawn mower, hedge trimmer, edger, leaf vacuum, and blower.
• Must comply with OSHA and EPA guidelines concerning storage and use of chemical substances.
• Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills required.

Responsibilities

• Cuts grass, maintains lawn, trims around trees, walkways and markers.
• Clears debris and maintains drives and walkways in safe condition.
• May assist in loading/unloading of supplies, equipment and/or merchandise.
• Maintains, services, cleans and properly stores equipment.
• Ability to properly utilize new equipment and follow safety procedures prior to using this equipment.
