Job summary

FirstService Residential is seeking a Groundskeeper in Fort Lauderdale, FL to maintain the appearance and cleanliness of our facility. The position pays $20 per hour and follows a Sunday–Thursday schedule from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm with Fridays and Saturdays off.

You will cut grass, trim around trees and walkways, clear debris, and ensure equipment is properly stored and maintained. OSHA/EPA guidelines must be followed, and strong communication with residents and team members is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience using handheld tools such as weed cutter, push lawn mower, hedge trimmer, edger, leaf blower and others is required.
• Multiple language fluency is desirable.
• Previous experience preferred.
• Must comply with OSHA and EPA guidelines concerning storage and use of chemical substances.
• Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills required.

Responsibilities

• Cuts grass, maintains lawn, trims around trees, walkways and markers.
• Clears debris and maintains drives and walkways in safe condition.
• May be required to assist in loading and unloading of supplies, equipment and/or merchandise.
• Maintains, services, cleans and properly stores equipment.
• Ability to properly utilize new equipment and follow safety procedures prior to using this equipment.
