Job summary

FirstService Residential in Fort Lauderdale, FL is seeking a Groundskeeper to maintain the appearance and cleanliness of our building and surrounding grounds. This full-time role includes lawn care, debris removal, and safe operation of grounds equipment to keep walkways and entryways inviting.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, hands-on experience with handheld tools such as weed cutters and lawn mowers, and strong customer service skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency required.
• Experience using handheld tools such as weed cutter, push lawn mower, hedge trimmer, edger, leaf vacuum, blower.
• Multiple language fluency desirable.
• Previous groundskeeping experience preferred.
• Must comply with OSHA and EPA guidelines concerning chemical storage and use.
• Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Cuts grass, maintains lawn, trims around trees, walkways and markers.
• Clears debris and maintains drives and walkways in safe condition.
• May be required to assist in loading and unloading of supplies, equipment and/or merchandise.
• Maintains, services, cleans and properly stores equipment.
• Ability to properly utilize new equipment and follow safety procedures prior to using this equipment.
