Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize counters, toilet stalls, and changing tables.
• Stocks and restocks toilet paper, soap, and towels as needed.
• Sanitize tables, benches, Elfabet elves, and penguin trash cans regularly
• Pick up or sweep trash / popcorn in park walkways.
• Sweep, vacuum, and mop indoor floor areas as needed.
• Remove cobwebs and other natural debris from guest viewed areas.
• Complete cleaning logs in all restrooms and guest areas.
• Displays proper safety signage in guest areas to maintain a safe environment.
• Ensure the safety and cleanliness of the environment for both employees and guests.
• Greets guests courteously and provides assistance when needed.
• Maintains a positive attitude, approachable attitude throughout the workday.
• Arrives at work on time, in “good show,” and keeps neat and clean throughout the day.
• Other duties as assigned.

Purpose
The Grounds and Restroom Attendant ensures that our restroom counters, floor, toilets stalls and changing tables are properly cleaned, sanitized, and stocked of supplies. The role requires regular interaction with the public, as well as the ability to work effectively with co-workers.

Extent of Public Contact
The Grounds & Restroom Attendant will interact with guests, assist with inquiries, and help ensure a pleasant visit for all.

Physical Demands
Position requires frequent reaching, stretching, stooping and climbing up and down stairs. Much of the workday consists of standing and walking.
Must have the following physical capabilities to ensure guest safety throughout the park:

• Manual Labor: Regularly walks on various paths, which may be uneven, steep or flat.
• Physical Stamina: Stands for long periods, walks, and sometimes lifts or moves objects.

Working Conditions and Environment
Daytime and Christmastime position which may include weekends and holidays. Position is mostly outdoors.
Attendants may work in any of the following extreme weather situations:

• Summer – Hot and Humid Conditions: Attendants will work in hot and sunny weather, often with high humidity, especially in summer months
• Rain and Stormy Weather Attendants may have to work in light rain or deal with temporary bursts of inclement weather like thunderstorms or heavy rain.
• Windy Conditions In areas with frequent winds, attendants may need to monitor weather conditions to ensure safety of guests and employees
• Winter – Cold Conditions Attendants may be required to work in low temperatures, possibly with snow or ice.
• Will need to dress warmly, including wearing layers, gloves, hats, and appropriate outerwear.
• Depending on the location, there may be wind chill factors or occasional snow, which could impact visibility and comfort.

• Must be 14 years of age or older
• Must be able to exhibit all physical demands listed in this job description at any given time during shift
• Must be flexible throughout season, with weekend availability
• Must be able to work independently, with little daily supervision
