Job summary

5 Star Electric, LLC is hiring a Groundman to support line and network crews in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Duties include passing tools, handling cables, and assisting with setting poles and burying underground cables. Safety is prioritized, with strict adherence to procedures and constant awareness of potential hazards.

Experience in labor-intensive environments and Electricity Training is preferred. Miscellaneous site duties and travel to job sites may be required as assigned.

Qualifications

• Electricity training preferred.
• One year of experience in a labor-intensive environment.

Responsibilities

• Passes tools to line crew and helpers on the ground; handles cables and materials.
• Assists in setting poles, digging trenches, and laying URD cables.
• Performs general clean-up and site preparation after work.
• Notifies customers of service disruptions during repairs.
• Operates equipment such as roto hammer and jackhammer as directed.
