Job summary

5 Star Electric, LLC is seeking a Class B Lineman for the Dallas/Fort Worth area to support ground crew and perform energized and de-energized line work. Responsibilities include pole climbing, wiring, transformer hookups, and tree trimming along lines.

Requirements include 2–3 years of experience, valid Class A CDL with medical card, and successful background checks plus pre-employment drug screen. OSHA 10hr training within 60 days is required; travel and storm work may be needed.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of lineman experience or equivalent hours.
• Valid Class A CDL and current medical examiner card.
• Must pass criminal and MVR background checks and a pre-employment drug screen.
• Must complete OSHA 10hr Safety Training within 60 days.
• Completion of formal training program or at least four years of verifiable experience including three years of energized work.
• Must be able to work outdoors in diverse terrain and all weather conditions.
• Willingness to travel for training and potential overtime including storm work.

Responsibilities

• Digs holes and sets poles for electrical lines.
• Strings wire on new construction or repairs line breaks.
• Sets and connects transformers and other electrical distribution equipment.
• Climbs poles and performs necessary repairs.
• Performs work to trim trees along electrical lines and related tasks.
• Responds to work orders for disconnections, reconnections, and new service orders.
• Maintains assigned tools and equipment.
• On-call after hours as needed and directed.
