Job summary

5 Star Electric, LLC is seeking an Operator to support line and network crews in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. You’ll handle materials, assist with setting poles, and operate ground-level equipment while adhering to safety standards.

Responsibilities include assisting with underground cable work, clearing paths, and reporting hazards. A valid CDL with ME card and OSHA training are required, with potential for travel and overtime during storm work.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of equipment operating experience in related field.
• Valid State Driver License and ability to obtain Class A CDL with ME Card.
• Background checks and pre-employment drug screen.
• OSHA 10hr Safety Training within 60 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Passes tools to crew and handles cables, conduits and materials as directed.
• Assists in setting poles and anchors using heavy equipment and manual work.
• Clears right-of-way and performs general clean-up of job sites.
• Lays heavy residential underground distribution cables in trenches and pads.
• Assists with lowering and raising materials and operates equipment as needed.
• Notifies customers of service disruptions and helps ensure crew safety.
