Job summary

Doyle Construction Company in Maryland is seeking a Construction Project Manager for our ground-up construction division. The role owns projects from start to finish, coordinating with clients and internal teams to deliver high-quality outcomes.

You will develop pre-construction strategies, manage budgets and schedules, and travel out of state 2-3 times per month for site visits. We value hands-on leaders who drive profitability and exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in ground-up construction project management with a commercial general contracting company.
• Experience managing projects with a minimum contract value of $10 million.
• Ability to travel out of state as needed to visit project sites and meet with project team.
• Experience maintaining project budgets and schedules.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Developing a purchasing schedule and strategy to anticipate and resolve purchasing challenges in pre-construction.
• Execute each project phase including pre-construction, construction, closeout and post-construction services.
• Collaborate with Estimating and Purchasing to ensure profitability and client satisfaction.
• Work with the Project Superintendent to maintain an updated and accurate project schedule.
• Oversee financial data to identify and address potential issues impacting profitability.
• Administer requisitioning and collections to ensure timely payments.
• Establish annual performance goals for staff and conduct evaluations.
• Maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors, vendors and design community to ensure world-class service.
• Promote positive subcontractor relations and model fair, professional behavior.
• Travel 2-3 times per month for site visits; travel and accommodations are provided.
