Job summary

Donohoe Construction Company in Bethesda, MD is seeking a Project Manager for our New Construction division. The role focuses on leading ground-up high-rise and large-scale projects, managing budgets, schedules, and client relations on active construction sites.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience, strong leadership and communication skills, and proficiency with Prolog, Primavera P6, Textura, Blue Beam, and JD Edwards. Competitive salary with full benefits and a collaborative culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years' experience on ground up, large-scale hi-rise residential projects.
• Experience on offices, government, hi-tech, hospitality, healthcare, retail, or multi-family projects is a plus.
• Experience leading projects valued from $50mm to $80mm+.
• LEED accreditation preferred.
• Strong coordination, shop drawing review, budgeting, cost control, and scheduling skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Prolog, Primavera P6, Textura, Blue Beam, and JD Edwards.
• Superior verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Establish project objectives and performance standards within corporate policies.
• Lead project from estimating to turnover to close-out.
• Maintain project financials, forecasting, and profitability while protecting the client's interests.
• Develop and maintain CPM Schedule for on-time completion.
• Advise senior management on progress and issues impacting schedule/finances.
• Scope, negotiate, and write subcontract agreements.
• Manage owner invoicing, subcontractor and vendor payments, and COIs/lien waivers.
• Understand industry practices and their impact on project activities.
• Manage day-to-day procurement, submittals, RFIs, PCO production, and tracking.
• Ensure timely completion and close-out of projects.
