Job summary

United Launch Alliance is hiring a Ground Software Technical Product Owner 3 to lead agile software development for ground systems supporting launch vehicle and mission integration. You will work with systems engineers, avionics, and ground software teams to ensure features meet operational needs and align with system architecture.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field, 4+ years in an agile environment, and strong C/C++ and Python experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field from an accredited college or university.
• Experience working on an agile development team.
• Experience independently designing, developing, and delivering software/hardware solutions.
• Experience presenting system architectures and designs to internal and external audiences.
• Experience with the full software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Define product vision, maintain backlog, translate stakeholder needs into work items.
• Refine software requirements reflecting operational needs and integrate with vehicle, pad, and mission systems.
• Coordinate with systems engineers and interfaces to align with architecture and operations.
• Decompose requirements, establish acceptance criteria, and plan validation activities.
• Understand software behaviors, interfaces, timing, and data flows for accurate ground software representations.
• Participate in design discussions to ensure alignment with functional and system-level expectations.
• Contribute to backlog grooming, sprint planning, and prioritization.
• Review verification, UAT, and IV&V findings to ensure conformance.
• Assist in cross-team coordination for dependencies and gaps across teams.
• Maintain documentation and configuration management per standards.
