Job summary

Air Transport International is seeking a qualified Loadmaster to support cargo operations in Wilmington, Ohio. You will verify cargo eligibility, plan loads, and ensure compliance with aircraft limitations and load plans.

The role requires 3+ years of loadmaster experience (or 5 years loading commercial aircraft), strong communication, and ability to work beyond a standard shift. Proficiency with Word/Excel and a pre-employment drug screen are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years loadmaster experience OR 5 years loading commercial aircraft.
• Clear and effective written and verbal communication.
• Pre-employment drug screen and background check required.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Email.

Responsibilities

• Verifies eligibility of cargo offered for airlift.
• Determines quantity type and size of cargo loaded per aircraft limitations.
• Preplans, computes, and ensures cargo is loaded according to load plan.
• Ensures all cargo documentation, packaging, labeling, and marketing requirements.
• Checks cargo against manifests and annotates overage, shortage, or damage.
• Determines and implements safety and security precautions involving aircraft.
• Calculates and secures cargo with appropriate restraints.
• Supervises and conducts aircraft loading and offloading.
• Ground security for aircraft, passengers, baggage, and cargo.
• Performs other administrative and operational duties as required.
• Stock aircraft with supplies.
