Job summary

National Airlines in Orlando, FL is seeking a Loadmaster to oversee cargo operations for 747 aircraft. You will direct loading/offloading, verify weight and balance, prepare manifests, and ensure proper labeling and tie‑downs.

Qualifications

  • Aviation background with experience on heavy jet aircraft preferred.
  • Basic math and writing skills are required.
  • Ability to comply with weight and balance and cargo placement directions.
  • Analytical skills and good judgment/decision making.
  • Ability to complete computerized weight and balance.
  • Ability to operate machinery.

Responsibilities

  • Directs and supervises loading and offloading of the aircraft.
  • Reviews restraints and advises Maintenance for corrections.
  • Verifies voided/unusable loading positions are secured.
  • Prepares weight and balance documents for flights.
  • Confirms load and ULD contour and proper tagging.
  • Ensures proper tie‑down per manuals and instructions.
  • Checks pallets, containers, nets, and straps for condition.
  • Calculates weight/ balance and signs the load manifest.
  • Accepts HazMat and frangible load requirements as applicable.
  • Operates and supervises cargo handling system.
