Job summary

Crane Worldwide Logistics is seeking a Capacity Planning Specialist, Ground to source qualified carriers, configure open shipments, and manage dispatch on a Mac Point/Aljex ecosystem. You will create Open Dock appointments, confirm coverage, and monitor live tracking to ensure on-time pickup and delivery.

This role emphasizes cost accuracy, post‑delivery auditing, and escalation of shortfalls. Strong knowledge of Descartes Aljex, Open Dock, and MacroPoint is preferred, with 2–4 years in carrier

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain, or a related field preferred.
• 2–4 years of experience in carrier procurement, dispatch, truckload brokerage, or capacity planning.
• Hands-on experience with a brokerage or transportation management system; Descartes Aljex preferred.

Responsibilities

• Source capacity from the approved carrier pool and confirm coverage for shipments.
• Create Open Dock appointments for pickup and delivery within required service windows.
• Update Aljex with milestones, reference numbers and ensure single source of truth.
• Monitor ETA lookups in MacroPoint against scheduled pickup/delivery windows.
• Complete final file audit and post final carrier charges (FCC) within 24 hours of Delivered status.
• Escalate capacity shortfalls and carrier service issues to management as needed.
