Job summary

JBS Foods in Utah is seeking a GROUND BEEF PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR B Shift to lead hourly crews on the floor, enforce safety, and ensure daily production targets are met in a fast-paced meat processing environment.

You will prepare pre-operational paperwork, coordinate staffing, and coach staff to maximize yield while controlling costs. Strong communication and computer skills are required; weekend work may be needed.

Qualifications

• Two years supervisory experience in a food manufacturing/meat processing setting preferred.
• Ability to work Monday through Friday including weekends when needed.
• Ability to work a second shift.
• Ability to work in a cold fast-paced environment.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise hourly employees
• Motivate and ensure safety of employees
• Prepare pre-operational paperwork
• Ensure area is properly staffed/crewed to meet operational needs
• Coach and develop employees to obtain results
• Meet volume goals, reduce claims, maximize yields, reduce cost and employee retention
• Maintains good working relationships with the Union, USDA and Maintenance employees
