Job summary

JBS Plainwell is seeking a Ground Beef Maintenance Technician for the 2nd shift. You will maintain, test, repair mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems and apply electrical/electronic knowledge to insure reliable operation of production equipment.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting and executing planned maintenance, developing skills across the maintenance team, and collaborating with Corporate Engineering to plan technology-based projects.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma is required.
• Preferred: an associate degree or technical/mechanical vocation.
• 1-2 years’ experience in an industrial production facility or trade experience preferred.
• Must be able to learn quickly and make good decisions.
• Must be able to work in a team environment and perform a variety of duties.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and strong technical skills.
• Fluent English, written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair and maintain mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Develops and executes planned maintenance programs for equipment within and supporting production areas.
• Develops and executes training for the maintenance team to insure proper skill level.
• Works with Corporate Engineering controls team to plan and execute technology based projects.
• Ensure compliance to Local, State and Federal safety programs; coordinate with facility safety team.
