Job summary

JBS USA in California is seeking a 2nd Shift Maintenance Mechanic to maintain, troubleshoot and repair production and utility systems. You will work with motors, conveyors, boilers, compressors, and refrigeration units, performing preventive maintenance and diagnosing failures to keep uptime high.

The role requires strict adherence to USDA GMPs and safety protocols, including LOTO and hot work. Strong communication with maintenance, QA, and operations is essential, as is ability to read

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and understand GMPs and company rules.
• Minimum three years’ experience in electronics, instrumentation, refrigeration, electrical, and general mechanical.
• Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.
• Good communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair production equipment including pumps, conveyors, burners, and packaging machines.
• Troubleshoot electrical and control systems and perform preventive maintenance.
• Follow GMP, SQF, and safety procedures; document work orders and readings.
• Work with supervision and other departments to minimize downtime.
