JBS USA is seeking a maintenance technician to ensure timely and effective maintenance of production equipment. You will run tests, perform basic repairs, schedule and document maintenance, and coordinate with area personnel to keep operations running smoothly.

The role requires a high school degree or equivalent, basic mechanical knowledge, and the ability to use testing equipment. Strong attention to safety and documentation is essential in this manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent; training in maintenance and safety certification may be required.
• Knowledge of basic mechanics
• Knowledge of machine testing procedures
• Understanding of equipment maintenance requirements
• Solid problem-solving skills
• Good oral communication abilities
• Able to use all related mechanical and testing equipment

Responsibilities

• Assumes responsibility for the timely and effective performance of maintenance procedures.
• Runs tests to ensure equipment is operating properly and that parts meet specs.
• Schedules, cleans, oils, fills tanks, and adjusts equipment for smooth operations.
• Completes basic repairs and refers complex repairs to the Manager or outside providers.
• Identifies inefficiencies and proposes improvements.
• Conducts regular visual inspections of production equipment.
• Maintains maintenance records and logs.
• Maintains effective communication with area personnel and coordinates maintenance activities.
