Job summary

Pet Supplies Plus is hiring Experienced Groomers to join our pack in Durham, NC. You’ll groom, bathe, and style pets per owners’ instructions while delivering neighborly service to our customers and their four-legged friends.

The role requires grooming experience, a high school diploma (or GED), and flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Sign-on bonus of $1,500 is offered for qualified hires; commission-based pay with guaranteed minimum applies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of grooming experience with formal training certification or under a certified groomer.
• Ability to move or lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Owner-provided equipment (clippers/blades/scissors) may be required.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must pass drug screening where applicable and be 18+.

Responsibilities

• Delight neighbors and pets with grooming services (brushing, bathing, conditioning).
• Groom and style pets per owner instruction or breed standards.
• Ensure wellness and safety of pets at all times.
• Build long-term relationships with pet parents and recommend products/services.
• Assist store team during grooming downtime and contribute to a positive store experience.
