Job summary

Pet Supplies Plus is seeking an Experienced Groomer to join our team. You will provide grooming services, brushing, bathing, and styling according to breed standards while delivering friendly, neighborly service.

Candidates should have at least 1 year of grooming experience with formal training or under a certified groomer, be able to lift up to 50 pounds, and be flexible for evenings, weekends and holidays. A HS diploma or GED is required.

Qualifications

• Grooming experience with formal training certification or under an established certified groomer.
• Ability to move or lift merchandise, equipment or pets weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, bend or stoop for extended periods.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Candidates must pass drug screening (where applicable) and be 18+.

Responsibilities

• Delighting neighbors and pets with grooming services, like brushing, bathing, and conditioning.
• Grooming and styling pets per owners’ instruction and breed standards.
• Ensuring the wellness and safety of furry patrons.
• Developing long-term relationships with pet parents by recommending products and services.
• Community outreach to attract new neighbors into the store.
• Completing Safety Training certification.
• Performing routine cleaning to keep the grooming area inviting.
• Assisting store team during grooming downtime.
• Developing skills and pet grooming techniques to grow your career.
