Job summary

Pet Supplies Plus in the United States is seeking a Bather/Student Groomer (Groom Tech) to learn grooming through Paragon School of Pet Grooming and deliver friendly service to neighbors and their pets. You’ll gain hands-on experience in bathing, brushing, and nail trimming, with a free starter toolkit and access to paid training.

Responsibilities include assisting groomers, maintaining a clean grooming area, and ensuring pet welfare.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail or other industry working with pets.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to move or lift merchandise, equipment or pets weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, bend or stoop for extended periods of time.
• Candidates must pass a drug screening and be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Delighting Neighbors and pets with grooming services, such as brushing, bathing, and trimming nails.
• Learning and demonstrating all the skills necessary to become a groomer through the online distance program.
• Always ensuring the wellness and safety of furry patrons.
• Developing long-term relationships with Neighbors by understanding their needs and recommending products and services that will keep their pet healthy and happy.
• Performing routine cleaning to keep the grooming environment fun and inviting.
• Successfully completing Safety Training certification.
• Assisting store team members during grooming downtime.
