Job summary

Pet Supplies Plus is seeking a Bather/Student Groomer (Groom Tech) to learn grooming through the Paragon School of Pet Grooming while assisting with basic grooming duties. No prior grooming experience required; paid training available.

You will work in a pet-friendly store, helping neighbors and their pets with bathing, brushing, nail trimming, and routine grooming tasks, with potential for growth and further training.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail or other industry working with pets, but not required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Able to move or lift up to 50 pounds.
• Able to stand, bend, or stoop for extended periods.
• Must pass a drug screening where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Delighting neighbors and pets with grooming services, such as brushing, bathing, and trimming nails.
• Learning and demonstrating all the skills necessary to become a groomer through the online distance program.
• Maintaining wellness and safety of furry patrons.
• Developing long-term relationships with neighbors by understanding their needs and recommending products and services.
• Performing routine cleaning to keep the grooming environment inviting.
• Assisting store team during grooming downtime.
