Job summary

Pet Supplies Plus in Oceanside, NY is seeking a Bather/Student Groomer (Groom Tech). You’ll bath, brush and care for dogs, while learning grooming skills through the Paragon School of Pet Grooming. Compensation includes a tool kit upon enrollment and access to paid training.

You should be able to lift up to 50 pounds, work flexible hours including evenings and weekends, and pass a drug screen where required. Friendly, neighborhood-focused service is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail or other industry working with pets is preferred.
• Must be able to bend, stand and lift items as part of daily duties.
• Willingness to learn grooming basics through the Paragon program.
• Ability to pass drug screening where required and be at least 18.

Responsibilities

• Delight neighbors and pets with brushing, bathing and nails care.
• Learn skills to become a groomer via the online distance program.
• Ensure wellness and safety of furry clients during visits.
• Maintain a clean, inviting grooming area and assist during downtime.
