Job summary

Pet Supplies Plus is seeking a Bather/Student Groomer (Groom Tech) to help pets look and feel their best while delivering friendly, neighborly service to our community.

You will train through the Paragon School of Pet Grooming, learn grooming techniques, and support the store team. You must be 18+ and able to lift up to 50 pounds, with flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail or other industry working with pets.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to move or lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, bend or stoop for extended periods.
• Flexibility in working evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Candidates must pass a drug screening and validated selection test and be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Delighting Neighbors and pets with grooming services, such as brushing, bathing, and trimming nails.
• Learning and demonstrating all the skills necessary to become a groomer through the online distance program.
• Always ensuring the wellness and safety of furry patrons.
• Developing long-term relationships with Neighbors by understanding their needs and recommending products and services that will keep their pet healthy and happy.
• Performing routine cleaning to keep the grooming environment fun and inviting.
• Successfully completing Safety Training certification.
• Assisting store team members during grooming downtime.
