Job summary

Pet Supplies Plus in East Northport, NY is seeking a Bather/Student Groomer (Groom Tech) to join our team. You’ll help groom and care for pets, learn through the Paragon School of Pet Grooming, and gain hands-on experience with grooming tools while delivering friendly neighborly service.

We offer flexible schedules, paid training, and opportunities for advancement. Candidates should be able to lift up to 50 pounds and pass a drug screening where required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to stand, bend or stoop for extended periods.
• Able to move or lift up to 50 pounds.
• Willingness to learn grooming through Paragon program.
• Pass drug screening where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Delighting Neighbors and pets with grooming services, such as brushing, bathing, and trimming nails.
• Learn and demonstrate skills to become a groomer through online distance program.
• Ensure wellness and safety of furry patrons.
• Develop relationships with neighbors and suggest products/services that keep pets healthy and happy.
• Perform routine cleaning to keep the grooming area inviting.
• Complete Safety Training certification.
• Assist store team during downtime.
