Job summary

Fiesta Mart in Houston, TX is seeking a Utilities Clerk (ages 16-17) to support the Produce Department and assist customers on the store floor. The role involves proper bagging and carrying groceries, and maintaining a clean, safe store.

You will read and write Spanish/English, interact with customers and coworkers, perform price checks, help with go-backs and check stand upkeep, and handle store carts and waste removal as part of a fast-paced team.

Qualifications

• Read and write Spanish/English, interact with general public and co-workers.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Present information in one-to-one and small group settings to customers, clients, and other employees.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the Produce Department and help customers on the store floor.
• Properly bag groceries for customers; carry groceries when needed.
• Maintain store cleanliness and safety; retrieve carts; run price checks.
• Assist with go-backs and check stand upkeep; remove waste from the parking area.
