Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred
• Excellent communication skills (verbal & written)
• Ability to lift/carry and move products as needed

Responsibilities

• Engage customers to provide the best possible shopping experience, including checkout
• Communicate with team members and assign daily tasks
• Mentor and coach staff to exceed customer service and sales goals
• Assist in training new team members and cross-training talent
• Assist with scheduling to improve engagement, service, and profitability
• Ensure product freshness, rotation, and dating policies
• Guide team on food safety standards and safe work practices
• Lead ordering, receiving, stocking, pricing, and display tasks
• Promote Meijer culture and inclusive environment
• Operate a register and cash handling as needed
• Operate powered equipment where applicable
• Participate in inventories to support goals
• May act as Lead in other departments as needed
• Other duties as assigned
