Job summary

Brookshire Grocery Company is seeking a grocery associate to maintain stock, ensure displays meet standards, and uphold food safety. The role involves operating pallet jacks, assisting customers, and maintaining a clean store environment.

You’ll work in a fast-paced retail setting with safety as a priority and a focus on teamwork and quality service. The position requires flexibility for nights, weekends, and holidays, with on-the-job training provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 16 years of age required.
• Minimum of 18 years of age required to operate equipment.
• 21 years of age or older to drive for Company business per policy.
• Typically involves on-the-job training.

Responsibilities

• Maintain full stock conditions on grocery racks and shelves.
• Operate pallet jack to unload from warehouse trucks and reload trucks with returns.
• Ensure dated product is stocked, rotated, or discarded properly.
• Inspect product quality and maintain food safety standards.
• Collect empty boxes and other trash for disposal.
• Assist customers with price checks and locating products.
• Promote sales through suggestive selling initiatives.
• Greet customers and respond to questions or complaints.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary work/shopping environment and follow safety policies.
• Take precautionary safety measures when using equipment.
