Responsibilities

• Create an environment that makes customers feel welcome, important and appreciated by answering questions about products.
• Gain knowledge of department products and respond to questions and suggestions.
• Recommend items to meet customer needs and preferences.
• Ensure product quality by checking freshness and dates.
• Label, stock and inventory department merchandise.
• Report ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
• Stay current with ads and promotions; follow food safety regulations.
• Maintain proper temperature in cases and coolers and document logs.
