Job summary

Food Lion is seeking a Store Associate to provide quality customer service within the Center Store department. You will help maintain shelving, assist customers, and support store operations in accordance with company standards.

The role emphasizes enthusiastic, accurate service, safe working practices, and adherence to Food Lion policies. Candidates should have strong communication skills and a willingness to learn multiple tasks and systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to learn multiple tasks and use store systems.
• Must meet minimum age requirements.

Responsibilities

• Maintain enthusiastic customer awareness with fast, friendly, accurate service to create a positive shopping experience.
• Be courteous and helpful to other associates.
• Maintain specialty merchandise levels according to standard practice and control backroom inventory.
• Maintain shelf allocations according to plan-o-grams.
• Ensure back stock is properly maintained.
• Work on new items and tags within 1 week of receiving items and place them per plan-o-grams.
• Ensure ordering, receiving, preparation, conditioning and displaying of merchandise follows policies and guidelines.
• Understand and use tools like ACIS and CAO.
• Adhere to company guidelines and safety procedures.
• Wear Food Lion uniform with name badge; maintain neat appearance.
• Complete CBT and training modules as assigned.
• Perform other duties as needed.
