Job summary

Food Lion is seeking a Store Associate to deliver high‑quality customer service in the Center Store department. You will support shelf maintenance, inventory controls, and adherence to plan‑o‑grams while ensuring accurate pricing and product presentation.

The role emphasizes safe work practices, teamwork with associates, and compliance with company policies and Food Safety guidelines. Prior food retail experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Ability to use technical information to solve problems.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations

Responsibilities

• Maintain fast, friendly, and accurate customer service to create a positive shopping experience.
• Maintain proper Specialty Merchandise level according to standard practice while controlling backroom inventory and shelf conditions.
• Maintain shelf allocations according to plan-o-grams.
• Ensure that back stock is properly maintained.
• Process new items and tags within 1 week of receiving items per plan-o-grams.
• Ensure ordering, receiving, preparation, conditioning and displaying of merchandise follows guidelines.
