Job Description:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The associate will be responsible for the following duties, along with other tasks as assigned:

1. Maintain a well-stocked, organized, and appealing Grocery department to meet customer demands and maximize sales. Build displays, stock and rotate merchandise for freshness, and ensure products are within easy customer reach. Store excess merchandise appropriately.
2. Greet customers with a smile, answer questions, and resolve concerns professionally and promptly.
3. Apply proper stocking techniques to ensure correct product placement, pricing, and signage.
4. Assist with receiving, unloading, checking-in, breaking down, and storing deliveries using a power jack or hand jack, if trained (training provided).
5. Handle damaged or discontinued items following company policies, removing unsellable products.
6. Ensure general sanitation of the department by following cleaning schedules and guidelines to meet health and OSHA standards. Properly dispose of trash.
7. Maintain productivity standards, work methods, and shrink control. Follow security policies. Ensure stock is put out at an acceptable rate as per company standards.
8. Assist with baling cardboard or related duties if trained (training provided).
9. Promote smooth department and store operations through cooperation with co-workers and supervisors. Strive for continuous job performance improvement.
10. Utilize all company-provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including cut-resistant gloves, safety cutters, and sponsored footwear.
11. Assist in other departments as needed.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position currently does not have supervisory responsibilities.

To perform this job successfully, the associate must be able to carry out each essential duty satisfactorily, with or without accommodations. Requirements include:

• High School Diploma or GED, or working towards it. No prior experience required.
