Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain well-stocked, organized, and attractive grocery department to meet customer demands and maximize sales. Build displays to drive sales, stock and rotate merchandise for freshness, and ensure products are within easy reach.
• Greet customers with a smile, answer questions, and resolve concerns professionally and promptly.
• Apply proper stocking techniques, ensure merchandise is saleable with correct pricing and signage.
• Assist with receiving and storing deliveries, if trained (training provided).
• Handle damaged or discontinued items according to company policy.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the department, following cleaning schedules and health regulations.
• Meet productivity standards, control shrinkage, and comply with security policies.
• Assist with related duties such as baling cardboard, if trained.
• Ensure smooth department operation through cooperation with coworkers and supervisors, and strive to improve job performance.
• Utilize all provided PPE properly.
• Assist in other departments as needed.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED (or working towards). No prior experience required.
